Since the thread on clubprotege.com was getting really messy, and since we are changing forums i figure its time for a new NOPI thread. so here it is. as of now this is still the list of people planning to attend NOPI. if you are on this list and have changed your mind let me know. if you are not on this list and plan to go also let me know so i can add you. one suggestion that was made was that we leave on wednesday the 14th rather than thursday so we have an entire day at the Dragon or so we can explore NC a little more. i am willing to go the extra day, but it has to be decided on by everyone. so post your thoughts here.

interesting. the layout changed from previous 2-3 years. they have drifting inside the track now - where we parked. check out the map. looks like the inside will hold a lot less cars then before.

here are the possible places according to nopi that we can register for.

well, whatever section you guys decide on is fine with me. brown is closer to entrance and drifting. green is closer to the vendor's area. brown c is the mazda section so we will be there with other mazda owners and not hyundays :)

well i just got off the phone with NOPI. they wanted to know if we would be willing to distribute flyers for the nationals show. of course i told them yes which means that everyone gets to pass out flyers! yay for us! lol. i figure we will be able to get rid of most of them at Towers. im gonna pass out a bunch at the different parties i go to on the weekends. i think it might be a good idea to go into some of the local parts stores and ask if we could leave some at their stores. any places you think people might take em, leave em there. they didnt tell me exactly when to expect them to arrive, but im guessing it will be before the end of the month so expect to receive some at this month's meet.

check out the beginning of this thread and ull see. no one has told me they wanted to be added, nor have they posted that they wanted to go. soooo..... anyone that is not on list of attendees on the first post of this thread please post that you are planning on going! if more people are going we will need to reserve more rooms in NC!

also have we decided if we want to leave on the 14th or 15th? i think it would be a more enjoyable trip if we go on the 14th, however this is a group decision that needs to be made. so make it soon!

There's been a change of plans... I won't be making the trek this year. My in-laws want us to come up to New Jersey in Sept., and I'll need to take time off for that. I can't afford to take time off for both things, and family does come first. The funny thing is, you all might pass me by, because I'll be driving an RV. Believe it or not, not even the Suburban is big enough for a road trip now!!!

I haven't emailed the dragon people yet since i just haven't had time. rather than play the broken telephone (or whatever its called), i think it would be better if eric or sean get in touch with them.

here is a little pointer and background info..
I have emailed them asking to put us into their calendar on the website and they also put pictures up. very nice of them. i have told them that I will mail them a shirt (one of my own brand new shirts) as a token of appreciation from the club. whoever emails them, make sure you thank them again for putting us up and let them know that we are interested in cabins.

make sure you ask when we need to cancel them and stuff like that. remember, we might even need 2 of them. make sure you let them know that we are not a bunch of teenagers but a mature club that can behave and will not set their cabins on fire.

i just don't have time for organizing this, one of our 2 (yes, i said TWO) officials should take care of this.
